Interesting ruling for such a blue state. I’ve got 3 kids in California ps, and it’s been quite an experience.

They probably consider the children to be poorly educated because they’re not “teaching to the test”.

“A primary purpose of the educational system is to train school children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation as a means of protecting the public welfare,” the judge wrote, quoting from a 1961 case on a similar issue.” And [The Children's Law Center] said her organization’s chief concern was not the quality of the children’s education, but their “being in a place daily where they would be observed by people who had a duty to ensure their ongoing safety.”

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! I don’t even have children yet and I’m appalled. The Court thinks school is about brainwashing our kids and some supporters of the ruling think school is about watching out for child abuse. WHAT ABOUT EDUCATING KIDS? While all this indoctrination and paranoid spying is going on, are any of them giving any thought to actually TEACHING?!

I can’t even comment any further. I’m so outraged that I’m actually spluttering.
