Just back from voting…

OMG what a hard one that was…. what to choose between bad, worse, and dirt….

What happens when there are no parties that really have anything good to say… and if they do they have a dark side that just shouldn’t be reckoned with….
The news and the polls keep on metioning that the Conservatives are going to win.. If they do I want to move… Harper is one scary dude with a bad haircut and his politics are not what this country needs… I like what Micheal Moore has to say on this subject…
This election has been rough too.. the first time that I have seen the adds go so much the ones that I see in the US…. Instead of saying what they have to offer…. they put the other party down… so the question is no longer what is the best choice… but what what are the worst…

Instead of knowing which way I was going to vote right off the bat… I went the other way and eliminated the worst… ultimatly ending up with a choice that I wasn’t happy with but was still better then the worst….

For now… I am laughing at Rick Mercer… and waiting for the results… The polls have closed in Eastern Canada, and the Networks are blacked out on TV so we can’t see whats happening….

*update

sad…sad…. very sad….

Conservative Minority….

sigh…. :(

in the words of the wicked witch of the west… “Ohhhh… What a world, what a world”

Man, I am so totally on the edge of my seat over this one (as you well know). I’m resigned, though, as to how it ends up. The people and places I love here aren’t going to change no matter who runs the government. Sure, I might have more reasons to write outraged blog entries (count on it!) but otherwise day to day life should hopefully be much the same…I’ll just keep repeating that to myself.

The only comforting fact I have with the outcome of this election is the fact that it is a Conservative Minority, and that might mean another election within the next couple of years. Otherwise, I am just plain scared.

I just can’t understand why Canada would go Conservative… I am still a bit speechles…
Todd… yeah… on an everday level I don’t think things are going to change much… It’s just the idea of it that makes me go crazy…. I just Really don’t trust Harper….

*Democrazy* is a sham, an illusion of participation making most people participate. It’s one of the sneakiest tyrannies ever conceived. http://midnightfire.blogspot.com/2005/08/path-to-power.html
