I love those ads. I so wish they had aired, but I’m glad 20/20 did a special on them so people still saw them. My husband was never breastfed, and he developed Type 1 diabetes, so our family is very serious about promoting breastfeeding and exposing the risks of formula use. I can’t believe that formula companies can promote their product with the imagery and implications of healthfulness, yet breastfeeding campaigners can’t promote breastfeeding with imagery and facts of their choice.
